CPR Classes

It’s not the most glamorous subject, but it could save your family:  CPR.  We at ToySplash love the water and we love our customers and want to help them keep their families safe in the pool, at the beach, and everywhere else.  That’s why we’re devoting today’s post to CPR Classes.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) uses chest compressions to force a small amount of blood to circulate to the heart and brain to help someone stay alive even though his or her heart has stopped.  If the unthinkable happens, CPR can mean the difference between life and death while you’re waiting for help to arrive.  Don’t depend on someone else to know it for you; it is a critical skill you need to learn before your water fun begins.

Sign up for CPR classes –

Before your summer gets too hectic and before the kids dive into the pool, enroll in a CPR certification course or a CPR refresher course.  Many fire departments and local parks and recreation departments offer classes.  Additionally, both the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association have resources to help you find courses near you. Check out their websites: www.heart.org/HEARTORG/ and www.redcross.org for more information.

There is no better way to prevent drownings than good water safety practices, but if tragedy strikes, knowing CPR could save a life.
