Thirsty Thursday - Peach-a-Rita it is!!

Summer’s not over yet! Actually, where I live (Arizona) summer is still in full force. I know many of you are celebrating/dreading (choose the appropriate verb) the start of school in just a few short days while others of us have been dealing with the return of schedules, homework, lunches, etc for a few weeks now. No matter where you live and what your schedule is, summer and all it’s carefree, lighthearted feelings and activities are still lingering.  This Peach-a-Rita embraces all that’s great about summer. Peaches are, in my opinion, one of summer’s best fruits. Now, put peaches into a margarita and you’ve got perfection in a glass. Go ahead, savor the remnants of summer and sip this sunset in a glass…

Peach-a-Rita

Ingredients ~ (2 servings)

  • 4 oz. tequila
  • 2 oz. triple sec
  • 1.5 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tsp Grand Marnier (optional, but delicious)
  • 1/2 peach
  • 1 cup ice
  • Garnish glass with lime zest and coconut sugar or lime zest and sea salt

Instructions~

Put all ingredients (except the garnish) into a blender (or a Magic Bullet: my personal favorite)

Blend until combined.

To garnish glass, combine lime zest and sugar or salt on a small plate. Use a slice of lime to wet the rim of the glass, flip over glass and place on plate to make garnish stick.

Pour in peach-a-rita and serve with peach slices. Enjoy!
