Awesome Quotes about Great Dads
Father’s Day…a day that is now bittersweet for me since my dad is no longer on this earth. I am blessed to have a husband who is an amazing father so of course, we still enjoy celebrating Father’s Day. My dad was a great example to me and made a huge impact on my life. Lots of times it wasn’t what he said, but how he lived. I think often dads go unnoticed. I remember when our kids were really little my children would ask for mommy all the time. That’s just natural for little ones. As the children have grown older though, they have realized the quiet wisdom their dad has and I can see a respect in their eyes for the man of the house. Thinking of my husband as well as my own dad, I went in search of quotes about other dads. I found these and want to share these awesome quotes about great dads. Enjoy!
”He didn’t tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.”
*”*My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, “You’re tearing up the grass.” “We’re not raising grass,” Dad would reply. “We’re raising boys.”
’There are 3 stages in a man’s life: ‘My Daddy can whip your Daddy.’ ’Aw, Dad, you don’t know anything.’ ’My father used to say . . .”‘
”Dad, you’re someone to look up to no matter how tall I’ve grown”.
”My father always told me, ‘Find a job you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.”
”Sometimes the poorest man leaves his children the richest inheritance.”
”A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty.”
”By the time a man realizes that maybe his father was right, he usually has a son who thinks he’s wrong.”
”I talk and talk and talk, and I haven’t taught people in 50 years what my father taught by example in one week.”
”When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years.”
